Select Parents selects the parent entities of the currently selected entities, subject to the specified hierarchy. The figures below provide a complete outline of the child-to-parent relationships for both Standard and Constrained hierarchy modes.
Tip: Select Parents respects your Mouse Selection settings. By default, selection is Exclusive, but the Ctrl key can be used to toggle Additive selection. If your Mouse Selection is instead set to Additive the selection behavior is reversed.
